Customer Service Policies

Last updated September 17, 2026

These policies describe how Write & Done handles writing, editing, and administrative document projects. Read them with the selected package description and your written project agreement. Website forms submit project details and inquiries; they do not take payment. Fixed-price order pages link to Stripe checkout.

The essentials

  • Full refund if you cancel before project work starts.
  • After work starts, you pay only for completed work under the agreed scope; the unfinished portion is refundable.
  • Fixed-price packages include one revision round requested within 7 calendar days of delivery.
  • Standard package delivery is 3–5 business days after we have complete materials, confirm your order, and receive any agreed payment.
  • Send a non-sensitive description first. File transfer is arranged separately after project acceptance.

Orders, prices, and project scope

You must be at least 18 to place an order. Before starting, we confirm the service, deliverables, length limits, source materials, price, included revisions, and delivery schedule in writing. Any project-specific changes to these policies must be expressly agreed in writing.

Published prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes and any separately agreed charges will be disclosed before payment. We do not add fees or expand the scope without your agreement. Custom projects, deposits, milestones, and rush work require a written quote; a requested deadline alone does not reserve a rush service.

If you pay before we review your materials, payment does not establish that every request can be accepted. If we cannot accept the project, we will return the payment in full. An inquiry creates no obligation to buy.

Provide accurate information and material you have the right to use. Career documents must reflect your actual experience and qualifications. We may decline unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or otherwise unsuitable work.

Cancellations and refunds

Send a cancellation request through the contact form or reply to your order email. Include your name, order email, and order reference if available. Do not include payment credentials. We stop further project work when we receive the request.

  • Before work starts: a full refund of the amount paid for the canceled service.
  • After work starts: we provide an itemized account of completed work and refund the unused portion. Deductions must reflect the scope or milestones agreed before work starts, not an undisclosed cancellation fee, and never exceed the price paid. We will explain any disputed allocation before settling the refund.
  • If we cancel or cannot deliver: we refund undelivered work. If our failure makes the completed portion unusable for the agreed purpose, we refund that portion too.
  • After delivery: a change of mind alone does not automatically entitle you to a full refund for completed work. If the work misses the agreed scope or contains an error, contact us so we can correct it. If we cannot provide the agreed work within a reasonable time, we will offer an appropriate partial or full refund.
  • Duplicate or mistaken payments: contact us promptly so we can investigate and refund any confirmed duplicate or overpayment.

We do not deduct a separate cancellation or processing fee from an otherwise due refund. We aim to initiate an agreed refund within 5 calendar days. Refunds go through the original payment processor to the original payment method; posting times depend on the processor and your financial institution.

Nothing here limits a refund or remedy required by applicable law, or your right to raise a payment dispute. The revision window below does not remove rights relating to defective or undelivered services.

Revisions and corrections

Each fixed-price package includes one revision round requested within 7 calendar days of delivery. Send one consolidated set of comments identifying the changes you want. Revisions cover changes within the original brief, such as tone, wording, emphasis, and agreed formatting.

A new target job, audience, topic, document, major change of direction, added research, or extra length is new work. We will quote that work before proceeding. Custom projects use the revision allowance specified in their written agreement.

Errors we introduce, or omissions from the agreed scope, will be corrected without using up your included revision round. Please report them promptly. We confirm the revision delivery date when we receive your feedback; the initial delivery estimate is not a promise of same-day revisions.

Delivery and timing

Standard fixed-price packages take 3–5 business days after complete information is received, the order is confirmed, and any agreed upfront payment is received. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays. We confirm the expected delivery date in writing. Custom and rush projects have separately agreed schedules.

Missing information, changed instructions, or delayed feedback can move the delivery date. We will tell you when a project is waiting on you and confirm revised timing. If we expect to miss a confirmed date, we will contact you with options, including cancellation of the unfinished portion and the applicable refund.

Delivery is electronic, by email or an agreed file-sharing method. File formats are specified in the order; for example, editable text or a Word document and/or PDF. Printing, shipping, posting to accounts, and submitting applications are excluded unless separately agreed. Court-document preparation and court filing are not offered.

Check that you can open delivered files and tell us if a link or attachment fails. Keep your own downloaded copies. We do not guarantee an interview, job, search ranking, publication, court acceptance, or other third-party outcome.

Your documents and finished work

You retain your rights in material you supply. After full payment, you may use and edit the commissioned final text for its agreed personal or business purpose. Third-party material, stock assets, templates, and software remain subject to their own licenses. Any special ownership or exclusivity requirements should be agreed before work starts.

Keep your originals. Share only material relevant to the project and for which you have permission. Document uploads are not yet enabled; do not send sensitive records through our inquiry or career forms. Read our document-handling and privacy policy before sharing anything.

We do not publish your documents, name, or testimonial for promotion without separate permission. We are not an archive or backup service.

Administrative service limits

Write & Done provides general document formatting and organization based on customer-supplied text and instructions. We do not provide legal advice or representation or prepare court filings.

We do not select legal forms, claims, arguments, or evidence; interpret rights; or advise on strategy or filing deadlines. You or your attorney determine the legal content, requirements, and filing decisions. We decline work requiring legal judgment or authorization we do not hold. Our services do not create an attorney-client relationship or privilege.

Questions or a problem with an order?

Use the contact form or reply to your project email. Tell us what happened and the resolution you are requesting. We will review the scope, communications, and work supplied with you.
